I think your idea of programmers being highly intelligent people with nothing in their minds except to develop programs that best suit the needs of the world is more of a damn illusion than a reality! Well, not exactly all of them, it's just that some of these damn programmers regard profits and a good laugh more over reliability and trustworthiness! It wouldn't matter if you have added security functions and features on your computer, be it a desktop PC or one of those
high-tech handheld PCs, for these wushead programmers have various ways and means in which to go around your damn sorry excuse for a security program!
One thing that these profit-oriented programmers do is to exploit open source development for their own selfish purposes! They take an application that has been developed using open development, then integrate some of their own destructive functions and features within the program! They then freely distribute the repackaged program without including on the installation package the information that the application has been tampered!
This is the case with that
P2P program named KCEasy. It's basically a repackaged open source P2P application that now has bundled adware and, worse, spyware! It would be very reasonable for open source programmers to include adware on the programs that they design and develop because the profits from this venture would provide them with enough resources to continuously develop the damn programs! But what lame excuse would these damn programmers have in the case of including spyware on the KCEasy program, or any program, for that matter!
